Hani played the annual Valentine’s Event in the Atrium at the High Museum of Art, Woodruff Arts Center, Atlanta. Chuck Mandt accompanied, and 1,000 attended. Chuck opened the sets, and Hani sang 54 songs over the 3-1/2 hours! Patrons could hear us on all the floors of the museum. Fabulous night.

On May 27, 2005, same year as The High Museum Valentine’s Event, Hani performed at Danny’s Skylight Room in New York City, accompanied by Tony Monte. Fab cabaret venue, where Blossom Dearie performed every weekend.

In June 2011, celebrating 10 years singing in cabaret style, “Hani in Concert” opened at The Liberty Theater in Atlanta. It also coincided with the release of the Hani: Being Alive CD.

In 2012, the two-act musical, “Sing Happy,” was born. Hani was inspired by a song by the same name, written by Kander and Ebb. Hani, Gary Casten and Arlene Gibbs performed with musical director Judy Boehm and Brent Whiten backing up on keys, drums, sax and vocals.

In 2016, Hani produced and starred in a Tribute to Mr. Hiroyasu Itoh, architect of the Japanese with Disabilities Act, in honor of its passage by Japanese Parliament. Mr. Itoh had been coming to Atlanta for over 20 years, observing and learning from the model ADA. In honor of Mr. Ito, Hani sang 2 Japanese songs, Sakura and Bashofu.

Inspired by the title of another Kander & Ebb song, in October 2016, Hani used their title “Happy Endings” as the theme for her one-woman show at the Liberty Theater in Atlanta.

For 2018-2019, Hani is writing a show based on the lives and music of two iconic singer-actors. Stay tuned! More to come!

Since 2001, Hani’s done as many as 35 shows in a year. In 2016, she did 21 one-woman shows in the Atlanta area.

For “Happy Endings” in October 2016, much of her program was songs she has known and loved for 30-50 years. And most of them, she’d never sung in public until that evening. Talk about a rush.

From Danny’s Skylight Room, NYC to the High Museum of Art, and posh Villa Christina in Atlanta, Hani brings her intimate cabaret style to every performance. And there is so much more to come. Catch her. You’ll be glad you did.
